Plant — the AA’s HQ, Basingstoke

Subfloor prep + Hardcrete microcementOffice floors

500m² of Hardcrete microcement threading through the AA’s headquarters — pale walkways weaving across a landmark office floorplate.

Plant, formerly Mountbatten House in Basingstoke, reborn as the AA’s HQ. The design called for microcement walkways and breakout zones running through a large, open workspace — which meant getting a range of existing substrates flat and sound first.

We carried out the subfloor preparation across the floorplate, then laid Hardcrete microcement in pale, continuous runs that navigate the space and tie the whole level together.

A calm, hard-wearing microcement surface across 500m² of a landmark corporate headquarters.
