Fusebox, Kingston

Grind & polish, existing slabEvent / creative space

700m² of tired existing slab ground and polished into a young people’s creative space — opened by Prince Edward, alongside exposed medieval stone.

Fusebox in Kingston occupies a heritage building with exposed medieval stone walls. The existing concrete floor was in genuinely poor condition and ran to 700m² across the event and creative spaces.

We ground and polished the existing slab back to a warm, honeyed finish, working around and preserving the ancient stone fabric so old and new sit side by side.

Now a thriving youth creative space — opened by Prince Edward — where a once-rough floor holds its own beside centuries-old walls.
