A colour-hardened polished concrete floor for a new-build SEN school — specified for decades of footfall, delivered to a main contractor's programme.
Samuel Rhodes is a new-build special educational needs school in Highbury, built by main contractor Borras Construction. The floor had to meet a school's demands: durability, slip performance and a long life under constant, heavy use.
We installed a 100mm polished concrete slab with a colour hardener, ground and polished to a soft sheen, coordinating our stages alongside the other trades on a live construction programme.
A hard-wearing, light-filled floor running through the school's atrium and stairs — a surface built to outlast everything that happens on top of it.
